Join us as we begin an advent series called "Surviving Christmas." Every year, when Christmas rolls around, we have this image of how it will be: the snow will fall lightly, and perfectly timed so that it doesn't mess up our travel plans; the presents will be found - at a bargain - early and wrapped neatly under the tree; the family will gather and there will be cheer and food in abundance - no tears, no fights, no finding out at the last minute that the key ingredients for the feast were not purchased.

But then Christmas comes, and it doesn't quite go that way. We find ourselves having the same fights we've been having with our families for years. We find ourselves stressed out over what to buy, and how much we have already spent. We find ourselves rich in things, but poor in spirit.

There has to be a better way.

There is. And to find it together, we are going to look at some of the key teachings of Jesus how they might help us change how we approach this special season of the year.

Each week during Advent we will gather 15 minutes early to sing Christmas Carols. Come out at 10:15 on Sunday morning and choose your favourites!
